Rain Lovers

There were a few plants that seemed to really thrive during the rain we had ALL SPRING LONG – the weeds really enjoyed themselves and the mushrooms put on a quite a show too!  But for me, it was the magnolias that were the most pleased with the unusual conditions. It was like they died and went back to magnolia heaven which we all know is in Louisiana.  I can’t remember a spring when they looked so full and happy with giant, white and fragrant flowers. I am still hopeful that we will continue to get some rain every week or 10 days, but sadly I know better and will be ready for and grateful for whatever little blessings we get in the next coming months.
